PEMBROKE, BERMUDA: October 3, 2002 - PartnerRe Ltd. (NYSE:PRE) today announced that Dr. Jürgen has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Zech, 63, has more than 25 years experience as an executive in the insurance business. Most recently he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Management of Gerling-Konzern Versicherungs Beteiligungs-AG in Germany, from which he retired in 2001. Dr. Zech holds a Doctorate in business economics.
