Management Changes At The Bank Of Butterfield And Son Limited
Hamilton, Bermuda, 6th July, 1998- The Bank of Butterfield has announced today the appointment of Mr. Richard Ferrett as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to replace Mr. Sarath Wikramanayake, who resigned from the Bank, effective 30 June, 1998, in order to return to his Sri Lankan home and pursue other interests.
In addition, the Bank announced the appointment of Mr. Ronald Simmons as Senior Vice President and Chief Accountant.
Mr. Richard Ferrett has been with the Bank for some two years as senior Vice President and Head of Financial Risk Management. Prior to joining the Bank of Butterfield he had held the positions of Senior Executive at National Westminster Bank Group in the UK, where he was responsible for Asset/Liability and Capital Management, and then Head of Funding and Balance Sheet Management at Nat West Global Financial Markets, based in London.
Mr. Ronald Simmons has been with the bank for some three years as Senior Manager, Finance & Planning. Prior to joining the Bank of Butterfield he qualified through Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewater Coopers)
before taking up the position of Assistant Comptroller at Zurich International (Bermuda) Ltd.
