BSX Announces Changes To BSX/RG Composite Index

Hamilton, Bermuda: 8 August 2001 - The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) has announced that three new constituents have been added to the BSX/RG Composite Index; LOM Holdings Limited, Bermuda Container Line and Solar Enterprises and one, Bermuda Broadcasting Company has been removed. Bringing the total constituent base to 23 securities.

Originally the BSX/RG Composite Index was comprised of the Exchange's twenty most widely held securities. As a result of the changes, which took effect 27 July and 4 August respectively, the Index now includes all of the securities listed on the Exchange.

President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Wojciechowski explains, "The BSX/RG Composite Index is reviewed on a regular basis twice a year. The most recent review coincided with the launch of the Exchange's newest Issuer, LOM (Holdings) Limited and the scheduled de-listing of Bermuda Broadcasting Company. As a result it was seen as an excellent time to adjust the Index to include all outstanding market Issuers. We believe the Index now better reflects the economic and shareholding base of the local business environment. "

The Index is posted daily on the BSX website, bsx.com and Bloomberg at BSX and is published daily in The Royal Gazette.
