HAMILTON, Bermuda, 12 September, 2001 - In light of the current events in the United States of America, the closure of U.S. securities markets and as a matter of respect, the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) has today suspended trading of those International Securities with secondary listings on the BSX whose primary listing is on a U.S. securities market. The securities affected include Tyco International Ltd., Mutual Risk management Ltd., XL Capital Ltd., Global Crossing Ltd., ACE Ltd., First Ecom.com Inc., TyCom Ltd. and W.P. Stewart Ltd.
The suspension will initially be for Wednesday, 12 September 2001 only but will be reviewed as is appropriate by the Exchange.
