Global Crossing Lists On The New York Stock Exchange

Hamilton, Bermuda: 23 October 2000 -Global Crossing Ltd. (Nasdaq:GBLX BSX: GBLX.BH), which is building and offering services over the

world's most extensive global IP-based fiber optic network, today announced it will commence trading on the New York Stock Exchange on

November 6, 2000. Global Crossing will trade under the symbol "GX." The company's shares will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Stock Market

until that time.

To celebrate the listing, Global Crossing Chairman and Founder Gary Winnick will ring the opening bell at the NYSE on November 6.
