Hamilton, Bermuda: 10th April 2000 -- Jardine Strategic Holdings Limited announces that as at 31st March 2000, the net assets per share of the Company were US$3.49.
Of the US$3.49 unaudited net assets per share, US$2.78 is attributable to the Company's interests in directly held businesses, other than Jardine Matheson, based on market price. The remainder is attributable to the Company's effective holdings in Jardine Matheson's businesses based on market price and adjusted to exclude its share of the market value of Jardine Strategic's businesses.
These calculations are based on unaudited information and on 887.7 million shares outstanding at the end of March 2000 which exclude the cross-holding of 267.6 million shares held by Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited.
