Hamilton, Bermuda,10th August 1998 - Hongkong Land Holdings Limited announced today the appointment of Nicholas Sallnow-Smith as Finance Director of Hongkong Land, effective 21st September 1998. He will succeed Ian Durant who is to move to Dairy Farm International Holdings as Group Finance Director.
Mr Sallnow-Smith has been Group Treasurer of Jardine Matheson since 1993, prior to which he was Group Treasurer of Johnson Matthey plc. He is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Managing Director of Hongkong Land, Percy Weatherall, said, "Over the past five years Ian has done a splendid job as Finance Director and I wish him well in his new role at Dairy Farm. We welcome Nick, whose wealth of relevant experience will be valuable to Hongkong Land."
Hongkong Land also announced that Francis Heng, currently Treasurer of Hongkong Land, will be leaving to succeed Mr Sallnow-Smith as Group Treasurer of Jardine Matheson.
