Kedar promised that customers will receive personal service and reliable, world class overseas telephone, fax, data and video services at discount rates.
The Government of Bermuda approved the new TBI long-distance service in July, 1996. Conditions having been met, the Public Telecommunications Service Licence has been finalized.
"Competitive phone services are good for Bermudians, good for business, and good for the future of the Island's economy," Kedar said. "We applaud the Government's efforts to act in the interests of all consumers."
TBI will be launching an information campaign over the coming weeks to inform prospective customers on the new long-distance services , and how to sign up for them.
