W.P. Stewart Holdings N.V. Ranked First for 12 Months Ended 31 March 2001

Hamilton, Bermuda: 26 April - W.P. Stewart & Co., Ltd. announced today that W.P. Stewart Holdings N.V. was ranked first and third, respectively, for the one-year and three-year periods ended 31 March 2001, among all funds having a North American mandate that were included in a survey

conducted by NYFER (Nyenrode Forum for Economic Research).

W.P. Stewart Holdings N.V. is an open-ended investment fund quoted and traded on Euronext Amsterdam (formerly known as the Amsterdam Stock Exchange). The fund is managed by W.P. Stewart Asset Management Ltd., an investment advisory subsidiary of W.P. Stewart & Co., Ltd. W.P. Stewart Holdings N.V. is currently available to investors outside the United States.

NYFER is an independent research institute in The Netherlands which analyzes and presents forecasts relating to investment funds sold in The

Netherlands, including surveys of the performance results of several hundred funds with global, European, North American or Far East mandates, many of which are listed on Euronext Amsterdam.

signs" W.P. Stewart Holdings N.V. had a year-over-year positive performance of 15.5% (in euros) for the year ended 31 March 2001 (or +6.7% in US Dollars). This was the only positive performance among all funds included in the four-

part survey for the period.
